from dungeon to nursery PART II

nursery progress

The demolition went good... except that we saw how much real work we are going to have... and it was a lot more than we thought.

The cabinets have been painted and I am in the progress of painting the drawers and installing the hardware.

The closet turned out awesome. The doors are off. The inside and the frame are painted and we installed some shelving.

I bought some fabric from Ikea today for some closet curtains. I (we) didn't want to go with something baby-ish and decided on this one. I LOVE IT and can't wait to see them hanging.

The beam/ ceiling is painted white and one coat of wall color has been applied.

some more drawers are waiting to be done.

There was so so much more work to do... trimming, cutting, sanding, glazing, coating, etc, etc...

It seems like every time we start a new job, five other things need to be done.

But we are getting there!

The only thing that is still missing is ELECTRICITY!

Told you it was a dungeon...

  1. I love it! It's going to be so adorable!!!

  2. Looks good so far! Way to go! All your hard work will be so worth it! :)

  3. I'm looking forward to see the fruit of your labors :) Great Job!

  4. OMG what a transformation!!! It went from SCARY to adorable and sooo light and airy and fresh! Many sweet dreams will be dreamed in that room :)
I love it... I picked that same fabric for curtains in our master BR. So fresh and timeless and will look so cute with the wall color! Love what you did... good job Oma and Mama! :D

  5. Love your colors. It's going to be so nice!
