Yesterday Jakey had his physical evaluation. There are a few minor things that I have noticed in his development and needed to get checked out. He has a hard time jumping, keeping his balance, and using a tricycle. The evaluation was long and I wasn't sure how well he would do... but he did great! They have all kinds of tricks up their sleeves how they get kids to do what they want them to do. ;)
They found out that his hamstring is tight, he is overly flexible and his muscle tone is on the low side. These are all things that are not that big of a deal now but will be later in his life if left untreated.
We are starting physical therapy next week and we will see how long we will have to go. But I am so happy, because that was one of these things that have been bothering me and we finally are on our way to get things going for him!
Swimm lessons are also going very well. He is listening (which is a huge problem for him) and is really participating! He has learned a few things but mainly his confidence in the water has made some huge process. I will see if I get a chance today to snap a few more pictures.
We are going to take it easy today... life has been pretty hectic latley and I think we all need a breather!
