He is here!

Finn Kelly McGill finally joined our family!



He was born on Oct. 17th at 1:57am
weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces
and was 22 inches long.

Finn was born on Sweetest Day!





Things have been crazy around here. No time for anything except enjoying being the mom of two.

I am so happy this pregnancy is over (even though I miss feeling him inside of me), the last 4 weeks were H E L L... am I allowed to say that?

Bed rest, numerous trips to the hospital, contractions for pretty much 4 weeks straight through... some days unable to leave the bed because my feet were so swollen. I am so glad this is over!

But labor and delivery went rather quick... and I hate to use this word but "easy".



Because I am getting so many e mails and phone calls and really don't have the time to answer many of them I tried to put together a FAQ...

so here we go

What are his measurements in the metric system?

He weighed about 3,883 grams and 56 cm long.

How is Jakey adjusting to being a big brother?

He is adjusting... it is not easy. He is excited to finally have his little brother and is really proud in showing him off, but so far has not even touched him. Jakey thinks Finn is yucky. haha whatever that means. But we are working on things. The other day I saw Jakey stick a pacy in Finn's mouth... HUGE step people!!!

How is Finn sleeping at night?

hehe if I would have answered this a few days ago I would have had lots to say on this subject, but the last few nights he has been doing much better. I get probably 2 stretches of 3 hours sleep. I am fine with that!

Are you breast or bottle feeding him? How is that going?

I am breast feeding this time around and so far so good. He is nursing like a champ and we haven't had any problems so far!



Who does he look like?

He looks nothing like Jake, but has some of the same facial expressions as he does. Scot thinks he looks like his mother, but seriously he looks like me!!!

Is he healthy?

YES! He is perfect in every way!
