meet Steve

Scot went to a auction in Shipshewana, Indiana and came back yesterday with Steve.

This is how Scot tells the story of how he found Steve:

After driving 5 hours through the night Scot arrived in Shipshewana at about 2 am, so he parked his car in this HUGE parking lot away from all the other cars. It was a windy, rainy and foggy night. He closed his eyes when ALL OF THE SUDDEN he heared this scratching at the car door. He opened the door and Steve jumps right into the car and curled up into his lap. The poor dog must have been running for days, because he slept all day long in the car and his paws where all red.

So, of course he had to bring him home, even though we are not ready for another dog... I am starting school in a few days again, Bailey is getting fatter and fatter, our neighbors already hate us because of Bailey and anyways I wanted a big dog. A dog that could protect us, a dog that will listen, a dog that is already house trained and a dog that is NOT a Beagle. Nothing against Beagles, but we already have one and we love her, but she is not...uhmmm... all the above.

Steve is basically a skinny male version of Bailey. But then again a Hippo is skinny compared to Bailey... just kidding!

He is a cute dog, seems to be getting along with Miss Bailey and the Jakester. We think his one ear is deformed, probably the reason someone dumped him. I am guessing he is about 6 months old, but then again I am not an expert and this is just a guess.
So, we are going to keep him until we find him a new home. Anyone interested?

Jakey is of course in love with him and keeps telling me "I have two doggies" and hold 4 fingers up...
